Google Classroom is a free web service for schools with a primary purpose of streamlining the process of sharing files between teachers and students. It helps students and the teachers organize assignments, boost collaboration and foster better communication.
How to get started with Google Classroom
- Sign into your google account and select Google
2. Create a class: As a teacher, one of the first thing to do in Google Classroom is to create a class for each of the classes you teach and provide codes for students to access specific classrooms. In a class, you can assign work and post announcements to students.
3. Setting classwork and homework: There are four key areas within each online classroom. First, the Stream Tab where a teacher can post comments.
Second tab is the Classwork Tab where teachers can create assignments and pose questions, organize classwork into modules which match your curriculum
Third tab is labelled People Tab where teachers can make connections with other teachers and students.
The final tab is the Grades Tab which is a fantastic tool for grading, tracking and displaying assignments.
